In summer, the resort of Les Gets, with its Famille Plus Montagne family-friendly certification, reveals the beauty of its alpine pastures and invites you to explore its gorgeous landscapes. Start by discovering the area around our charming hotel: the village and its many hamlets. As you wander round, take in the typical Savoie-region architecture, its stone and wood chalets, and its rich heritage. You should also visit Nativité-de-Marie church which houses a philharmonic organ - the only one of its kind in Europe, with 1,000 pipes. It is listed as a historic monument. Then, head to the Museum of Mechanical Music which presents an incredible collection of 19th century mechanical instruments.
After this stroll around the village, take one of the many footpaths which lead out of Les Gets, and admire the magnificent panoramic views over Mont-Blanc, the foothills of the Alps, and the Chablais mountains. Some routes are family-friendly, such as the Circuit des Chèvres, or the Sentier des Myrtilles. Some can even take push chairs, such as the Boucle des Clarines or the Sentier des Tétards. Others are more challenging: the Grand Tour du Mont-Chéry or the Grand Tour des Chavannes. Amateurs of trailing will be delighted to discover three routes, including a family-friendly circuit.
In the resort, the leading activity for the summer season is mountain biking. With 90 km of marked trails, 36 dedicated lifts, 8 Bike Patrols providing maintenance and security, Les Gets Bike Park offers a multitude of tracks for any level of experience. If you prefer to take in the mountains at a more leisurely pace, head to Les Gets golf course, right by the hotel. With its 18-hole course and exceptional natural surroundings, experience a round of golf unlike any other you’ve ever played. Other activities include: climbing, via ferrata, archery, tennis, canyoning, rafting, and paragliding... not to forget swimming and angling in Les Ecoles lake (5 minutes’ drive from the hotel), which also features a multi-sport pitch, aquatic toboggan, beach volleyball court, and a children’s play area.
